zine for kids power

It is a simple yet powerful declaration that reveals the universality and importance of children’s rights. No matter where a child is born, no matter what their background, they have the right to be treated equally with dignity and respect. Children's rights are a basic human right and the cornerstone of every child's life. This means they have the right to education, health care, security, freedom of expression and the opportunity to participate in decision-making. They have the right to live in a non-discriminatory, safe, warm and loving environment. More and more people are beginning to pay attention to children's rights, and there are many regulations to regulate children's rights nowadays. But our group wants to raise an issue that is rarely noticed but is likely to be encountered by children in today's society: Kids' data protection.

It's crucial to recognise that the Internet offers immense opportunities for children, including access to education, information, and social interaction. However, in the era of the Internet, kids’ rights to access the Internet are facing unprecedented challenges and risks. And it is difficult for most people to realise the subtle impact that the Internet has on children. Through our work, we want to convey that everyone has the responsibility to protect kid's rights online and ensure that they can use the Internet safely and healthily. However, we must admit that current protection measures are not yet as good as they should be, and there are still many problems and challenges. In this piece we want to look at the past, present and perhaps future of kid's rights on the internet.

As a group with different cultural backgrounds, we discussed our own experiences and many of the problems that exist for kids in our country and our own experiences. We believe that young people have the right to access information, express their opinions, communicate with others, participate in social activities, and receive education and entertainment. However, these rights are often threatened by issues such as cybersecurity, privacy breaches, cyberbullying, objectionable content and overuse. Therefore, we need to take effective measures to protect these rights. However, current conservation measures leave many shortcomings. Insufficient supervision has resulted in a large amount of inappropriate content and activities on the Internet, which has had a huge impact on the healthy growth of teenagers.

While the Internet offers tremendous opportunities for children, it also creates significant risks that must be addressed. Protecting children’s rights to use the internet requires a multifaceted approach that addresses privacy concerns, promotes digital literacy and fosters a safe and inclusive online environment. Only by working together can we ensure that all children can fully benefit from the opportunities offered by the digital age while safeguarding their rights and well-being.
