A print combining family photographs from the 1990s with newspaper clippings

Notion is both the absolute object and the absolute subject—the rational exposition of sensibility. The action we could take is to pursue such an obscure prospect and nothing but, to be what it is meant to be.

My current studies interweave with various media for conceptual exploration, mainly unfolding under the screen experience, utilizing electronic circuits, archives, and photographs.

The ongoing project centres on the convergence of personal memory, familial history, and socio-political contexts. Through the fusion of archival materials and introspective methods, a dialogue is formed that bridges past experiences with present interpretations.

These images feature a collection of family photos taken in the 1990s, combined with the newspaper from that era. Through techniques such as layering, merging, and disruption, these actions serve as metaphors unravelling before the image's formation, signifying the accumulation of personal experiences and histories. It ultimately lends a blurry surface to the images and aged texture, creating possibilities of time and space. The blurred surface reflects the ambiguous nature of memory under capitalism—shaped by consumerism and rapid societal change. The amalgamation of these elements presents a contradictory contrast or a sense of fragmentation, perhaps even tinged with a hint of absurdity. Such absurdity may be depicted through the guise of the contemporary era.
