Tanvi Jain

Hi! I am Tanvi (they/them), a Service Designer, Problem Seeker, Facilitator, and Mentor. My practice is deeply rooted in the art of questioning and the power of deep thinking. As a systems thinker, I believe innovation lies beyond the boundaries of the obvious. I place Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity (DEI), alongside the quadruple bottom line—People, Planet, Profit, and Purpose—at the heart of my process.

Over the years, I have navigated through various industries—including the public sector, sustainable fashion, data analytics, AI/ML, and fintech—predominantly collaborating with startups and NGOs. Among my diverse projects, two stand out: a fundraiser for period poverty in India, where we raised over 1,000,000 INR to educate and equip 8000+ menstruators during COVID-19, and a speculative strategy for the UK Ministry of Justice aimed at redefining rehabilitation for the years 2040-2050.

Beyond work, I engage deeply in the design community, both as a learner and a mentor. I immerse myself in design events, contributing as both a host and a participant. I also mentor junior designers globally to expand the outreach of design. My continuous curiosity drives me to explore adjacent fields like behavioural economics, future studies, policy, and more, constantly evolving my design practice.

My ambition is to create a world that is more equitable and delightful for all, leveraging design to enact positive change at the grassroots level. In my journey, I work with people, not for them, aiming to facilitate communities and individuals in co-designing their realities.
