The vision for this project was curating a collection of research samples and inviting peers to contribute their creations, leading to the creation of a prototype shelf designed as a "library" for these items- The Library of Mindful Making. Drawing inspiration from research on sound meditation, particularly focusing on brain waves, the team manipulated the theta brainwave pattern to design the shelf. Placed strategically outside the Kensington library on the RCA campus, the shelf aimed to maximize visibility and engagement. A short film was also created to further promote the concept and encourage participation. Ultimately, the project aimed to foster a culture of collaborative thinking and appreciation for mindful making within the RCA community.
