Image of exhibition with touch interface triggering video projections

My work explores how to create portals into places that hold space for exploration and stories, from the viewpoint that you don't always need to travel to see the world, you just need to stand still and relearn how to see. Combining the digital and physical worlds, I have created projects including The Oracles, a series of conversational chatbots & augmented reality interventions that guide you through nature in London. In my professional practice, I have created interactive audio guides for the Smithsonian's Futures exhibition that were longlisted for a Dezeen award, and talking paper portraits that offer a window into community, time and place. Currently, I am working on a VR experience that tells the love story of my Palestinian and Armenian grandparents, a portal into my heritage that allows me to sit quietly and experience it as if it is a memory, a place of heritage and love. For Across RCA, we created an interactive experience that enables visitors to explore the use of glyphosate in UK farming, to understand the role and responsibilities of different parts of our society to better care for the planet.
