Lydia Kok

knitted forms, computing

Lydia Kok is a multidisciplinary designer exploring the interconnected systems between people and the planet through making. Her work presents the interaction between the organic forms and textures that make up our natural world. She challenges the aesthetic possibilities of combining organic and inorganic materials whilst embodying the principles of environmental stewardship. The textile materials used, by their very nature, encourage viewers to consider their life cycle, from their creation to their eventual disposal or reincarnation into new forms.
