Julia Issi

Self Portrait (Drawing) of the Artist Consuming Pomegranate and Fig, with the Body Exposed Covered with Insects

Julia Agnieszka Issi (c.2002-) is a Polish Jordanian Multidisciplinary Artist exploring the Mental Condition in relation to her personal experiences with Chronic Pain and Generalised Anxiety Disorder, by blueprinting small worlds through her writings and reimagining them visually through drawings and installations, immersing the viewer into her Small Fragment of Reality – inviting them to her ‘Umwelt’.

As an Artist, Julia aims to create a platform for not only sharing her experiences with Mental Health and Disability but to encourage honest dialogue about the unsavory and disturbing parts of the human experience – blurring the lines between Reality and Fiction, Pain and Pleasure, Fear and Acceptance
