Hou Jialu, a product designer from China, is dedicated to exploring public participation in design and opposes elitism in the design process. He is also committed to the interdisciplinary application of product design, seeking to unlock more possibilities in the field.
In the "Across RCA" project, his group "Informed Disciples" raised a series of questions: Why do shared beliefs, which were initially beneficial to human civilization, eventually become creators of misinformation and obstacles to progress? As designers and artists, how should we view and understand the issue of beliefs? How should we address this misinformation? Should we oppose or support it? As designers or artists, they aim to explore how to identify, understand, and encourage the development of the ubiquitous beliefs around us.
