Guo Tian (Tanya)

An image of myself in art gallery

My name is Guo Tian (Tanya), originally from Beijing, China, I completed my BA study at the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA), where I developed a deep love for architecture and spatial design. Feeling the need to deepen my knowledge and explore new areas within my field, I decided to pursue a Master's in Interior Design at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London. The RCA stood out to me for its commitment to innovation and its integration of emerging technologies in design, aligning perfectly with my aspirations. I am particularly fascinated by the potential of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and sustainable materials to transform interior spaces.

Throughout my time at the RCA, I've had the chance to work on projects that bridge interior design with cutting-edge technology, like augmented reality and 3D modeling. These experiences have not only expanded my understanding of what's possible in interior design but also provided me with practical skills that I can apply in the real world.

During my time at the RCA, one of the highlights was participating in the AcrossRCA project, where I had the unique opportunity to collaborate across disciplines with peers and professionals from various fields. This experience truly broadened my perspective, allowing me to explore the intersection of interior design with other creative and technological areas. Working on this project, I applied my skills in a new context, integrating concepts from different disciplines to develop innovative solutions to complex design challenges.
