Fabia Martin is a multi-disciplinary artist working between sound, light, video and sculpture.
She creates worlds that sit in the uncanny valley between Earth, the Digital Realm and an elusive Third Place. Her work playfully examines the points of connection between "high" and "low" art, between our physical and digital selves and between reality and dreams.
She has performed her sound art piece "ASMR Dream/Nightmare Scenario" at the IRCAM centre in Paris, and in various venues across London. Her installation works "ASMR Slime, Wet Mouth Sounds Brain Scratches" and "Bathroom" have been exhibited at the Royal College of Art. The first event of her curatorial project, Specctra (@spe.cctra), which showcases experimental sound art performances and installations, took place at Peckham Audio.
Fabia has a background in Art History, set design and electronic music. She received her BA in Art History from the University of Manchester.
