This project aims to continue the critical discussion surrounding monuments of controversial historical figures by archiving and shedding light on important information about the portrayed that is often neglected or ignored in the inscriptions on the plinth. Instead of advocating for the removal of these statues, this project highlights the necessity of providing a more balanced and holistic context about them. Ultimately, the goal of the project is to encourage viewers to develop a more nuanced interpretation of historical figures and resist the passive acceptance of official narratives.
