Our project culminated in the presentation of a short film that depicts a world twenty years in the future in which humans and birds coexist harmoniously. The film shows pristine and prosperous natural landscapes and depicts an idyllic scene of ecological prosperity. The story revolves around a local resident who enters the park for a picnic and carefully prepares a meal, not only for herself but also to share with the birds, symbolizing a beautiful vision of mutually respectful coexistence. Our goal was to create a utopian image characterized by sunlit foliage and multi-species communities where humans, birds and other animals live in harmony.
At the end of the story, we look at the behind-the-scenes of film sound production, in particular the art of SOUND, which imitates natural sounds. This ending evokes thoughts on the blurred line between a beautiful utopian future and a more realistic and cruel one. The film thus invites the viewer to reflect on the reality of this carefully constructed future:What is the real, and what is manufactured? This conspiracy is meant to initiate a dialogue on how to balance fear and hope in contemplating the possibilities of the future.
