De-Secret

Making to reflect on the ageing sexual stigma we failed to break.
Caring SocietySocial CareWellbeingInclusivity

In an era where people worldwide are experiencing longer lifespans and sexual liberation, it is sad to observe that our society still harbours a fear of ageing and sex. In response, we created De-Secret, a stop-motion film that reflected on our “failure” to run a co-creation workshop for building healthier ageing sex narratives.

In the film, there was a broken pottery, which we called Secret Saver. Originating from our discouraging workshop results, Secret Saver acts as both a symbolic bridge and a revealing gap between the perspectives of younger and older generations regarding ageing sexuality. This pottery, crafted in the shape of women's sex toys and featuring two small openings at the top and bottom, served a dual purpose: a protective space inviting unfiltered and sincere expressions about sexual needs and desires.
