Upon closer examination of the waste we accumulated, we discovered a recurring pattern: the majority of our discarded materials appeared in awkward and irregular shapes. These diverse fragments consisted of varied materials, including paper, plastic, metal, wooden offcuts, and wax. The inherent nature of their shapes rendered them unsuitable for incorporation into future projects, leading to their designation as unwanted or unusable.
Inspired by the peculiar shapes and wide-ranging materials comprising our discarded waste, our group collectively came to a realization: these irregular remnants encapsulate the essence of our sustainability journey. It was this revelation that sparked the birth of our project's title, "Awkward Bits."
