Ask Me

"Ask Me" is a raw, truthful account of what women and girls navigate - a call to arms. It is not acceptable and should not be happening.
Justice Equality and MisinformationGenderSpacesThe Body

Ask Me is a short film which presents accounts of sexual harassment and assault from five women from a range of backgrounds. Despite some progress made by the Me Too social movement and awareness campaign, misogyny and sexism has become more underhanded and pernicious.

Through images and text and deliberately avoiding using faces and women’s bodies in the film, Ask Me presents the day to day landscape of gendered violence.

Ordinary, unremarkable and familiar places such as bus stops, trains, nightclubs, parks and pharmacies are the sites where experiences of sexual harassment take place. It shows the level of threat and unwanted attention experienced by feminine-presenting people constantly.

Ask Me is a raw, blunt and truthful account of what women and girls navigate – a call to arms. It is not acceptable and should not be happening.
